65% Corvina, 15% Corvinone + 10% Rondinella + 10% other varieties grown in Bastia in the Veneto region of North Eastern Italy. A wine that stands out for its distinctive softness. Its sweet and fruity notes of cherry and currant come from a skillful blend. Hand picked during the last two weeks of September. Fermentation & maturation The wine is re-macereted on the pomace from the dried Amarone grapes. The wine is aged in 500/1000 litre oak barrels for 18 months.
Ruby red colour. Nose of cherry and red small woodland fruits. On the palate, range of red fruits such as cherry and currant. Balanced tannins. Best served at 16-18°C.A wine for earthy food like meat sauces, meatloaf and eggplant dishes.
