Blend of 60% Grandes and 40% Petites Champagnes, aged between 40 to 45 years. Maison Audry believes that a great cognac is the fruit of a perfect balance between the bouquet provided by the grapes, the oak coming from the cask and the oxidation due to the surrounding atmosphere in the cellar. This balance is achieved through the three major steps in the time consuming cognac making process : distillation, maturing and blend.
A rich and complex aromatic palette: green pepper and fresh apple, spices, tobacco, roasted coffee beans, cocoa, and rancio combine to give a somptuous bouquet. On the palate: full-bodied and mellow with subtle touches of anis, violette and licorice. Persistent smooth honeyed satiny aftertaste.
