AVERAGE AGE OF THE VINES: 50 years. NATURE OF THE SOIL: Schist / clay and limestone. HARVEST: Handly picked and selected in cases of 8kg. TANKS: Wooden tank. VINIFICATION: 12° cold maceration for four days, 30°C fermentation, followed by a long warm maceration. Malolactic fermentation in new oak barrels. ELEVAGE: 18 to 24 months (in new French oak). STORAGE PERIOD: 0 to 25 years. AVERAGE ANNUAL PRODUCTION: 8000 to 10000 bottles.
An elegant wine of Syrah, grenache and Carignan. After a very complex nose, the wine reveals aromas of ripe red fruits, black berries, truffle, fresh leather and menthol. A wide range which transfers to the palate, strong, deep, with soft tannins, and menthol aromas. The wine will reveal its potential in the next twenty years…
