Descendants of the Counts of Armagnac, the Chevaliers d'Aux were the first owners of the domain in1632. Considered as an asset of the country, it was expropriated in the 4th year of the Revolution and turned into a relay station for horse-drawn carriages. It was better known early in the 19th century by the name of "Pataches". An emblem of reference of Nord du Medoc vintages, known for its famous "calcareous plateau of Begadan", with its shallow clayey soil, Château Patache d'Aux produces powerful, concentrated wines that age extremely well.
Nice gradual change of colour to red brick. Hints of fruit together with an honest, complex woody fragrance. Supple and mellow tannins. Fullness and volome on the palate. Long and harmonious finish.
